But I have to be kind of honest though. It just seems kind of messy. I'm not sure whether the effect will turn out different in real life, but I'm kind of iffy on it.

It's actually my tortoise's tank. My hamster is in another room, heehe.

Wow! That's actually a cool idea I remember I used to be obssessed with wanting to decorate my room with an asian theme, but I just gave up, and I ended up painting it lime green haha. For some reason, I think that a room full of bright colors definately livens things up, compared to a room with white walls. The bright walls keep me in such a good mood! I'd say go for it ;D

bondette007: You have a pretty good idea there, but I'd work on limiting the colors introduced to the room... You should tone down the wall color a bit, and work on making the room accessories pop--otherwise it's just too overwhelming. So maybe opt for softer, calmer colors for the walls and furniture, while having lots of funky pillows, lanterns, and fans. n_n

I've always liked the cute japanese girl's rooms I see featured in EGG...(they take pics of their model's rooms)....and the "room makeover" section of Zipper

they're painted brightly, have lotsa hi-tech things (tv, radio, ipod, video games, etc)...cute beds and furniture! and it's all in this tiiiiiny room (cuz we know how small their apts are!)

I'll hafta scan some pics I have when I get a chance this week. If you want to see them, remind me!! (pm me or something) cuz I will forget =P LoL
