Mika Nakashima has a beautiful voice. Personally, I really like Koda Kumi. Utada Hikaru, Ayumi Hamasaki, BoA, and Mika Nakashima are great too, but Koda Kumi is my favorite.

For JPop, I'm really like BoA at the moment. I use to really like Nami Tamaki (heck I even had a fansite, which is still active) but her recent music dissapoints me.

Gackt.

Wellll....thats where your wrong. gackt cant be cornered into the genre jrock because he is so wide in his varieties. I wouldnt call "Vanilla" a Rock song. ya know what I mean? Neither is "Last Song" and so on and so on....
JPOP: Ayaka (new single Mikazuki is really good) , Ayumi Hamasaki, Koda Kumi, Ai Otsuka (SMILY! *^^*) , Yui, etc etc.
And just info to you, BoA is not Japanese, and she mainly sings in korea. so I hate classifying her persay as Jpop....more like a Kpop singer who can sing in Japanese.

I hardly listen to Jpop at this time in my life. I guess I could say BoA, but I really prefer her Korean music to her Japanese. As for Jrock, I love L'Arc~en~Ciel, HYDE, and Miyavi.

I get the feeling a good amount of people feel that. I just feel like there's more effort, more...for lack of a better word...kick to her Korean songs. And the Korean singles are very high energy with awesome dance routines.
