Dating somebody younger then you. How low will you go??

well, Im asking this because I was talking with one of my friends about a boy I kinda like. my brother didn't knew and aperantly.. this boy likes me too. =)

he will be 20 in november.
meaning he is 4 months younger then me. to me.. no big deal at all.
my friend on the other hand.. freaked out. O___o

her theory is that girls only should date older boys. no mather what. htat is how it should be.
I told her that that was bull but she said that I needed to ask around and I would see that girls only date older boys.

so girls! will you date an younger person? and if so.. how low will you go?

I would say a range of 1-2 years.. as long as the guy is mature enough... I think a difference of a few years.. let alone a few months is nothing!

Haha, your friend is the one that is weird, not you. What matters is that the person is within your kind of generation and is compatible. 4 months younger is nothing...why would you even be getting second thoughts by what she thinks?

I picked 3 years because it seems appropriate for me at the time, but it would change depending on my age and what he is currently doing.

4 months :S thats nothing, although some people thought it weird i could date my ex and he was 10 DAYS younger than me!

Anyway, I would draw the line at 2 years, purely cus im only 19 and that would make him 17 =) 16 with me being 19 would bother me. I hink I'd worry about maturity, and what he was REALLY with me for...

I don't really think it matters whether they're older or younger, so long as it's within a reasonable range! At 16 (my age), I think I'd date within about 2 years. Actually, I've had a tendency to have a crush on younger guys lately... by a few months mostly. Nothing wrong with it.

But my age limit is 18. I won't date younger than that no matter how old I am...lol

XD I forgot to click on yes for the poll, silly me. Well anyway, age shouldn't be a big factor I think. And 4 months? That shouldn't even be worth a discussion! That's just crazy.

As I'm 19 now, I would go as far as dating someone who's 16? I've known a girl who was well that age and ated a 16 year old guy. And trust me, it wasn't a big deal (espcially since he was very mature for his age, in both looks and character).

Once I'm a lot older I could easily accept a bigger age difference. Most would probably see a 15 year (or more) difference as too much O_O but stranger things have happened in life (:

As for me, I guess 3 years younger is the limit, at least right now. But mind you, he has to be at my age both mind-wise and look-wise. I'm 18 now, but in some years I guess I'd date even younger guys as well. As long as the two parts are the same mentally, age doesn't matter.

Well, in the teenage years, about 2-2.5 years younger is ok I think, it can become broader as one gets older. Like everyone else said, 4 months is NO big deal at all, seriously. I'm about 5 months older than my boyfriend, I was born in November of 1990 and he was born in April of 1991. I do look like, 2-3 years younger than I actually am though plus I act like a little kid so no one has any idea XD

For now, my top difference would be 3 years. I'm almost 22, so I won't date a HS kid sorry :P.

When I'm older, I think I'll set the limit at 20 something, like 23-24 upwards. after that age I think everyone is grown up and equally adult.
