Unhappy Embrassing questions ><

I recently made a post about going to a theme park, and i'm really excited and all but my periods due for that day

Because there are water rides i can't use a pad so was thinking about tampons. But i got told by friends before that it hurts to insert and to take out . . . and er yeahh well i know the basic things but i may sound stupid but erm . . . upside down? Haha sounds silly but would anything happen or would it be like normal? Also can it leak at all and usually wearing a pad you don't feel up to much and i can be paranoid alot. Does wearing a tampon allow you to carry on with everyday things? Help!

Well, I can't really give you advice from personal experience but some of my friends who use tampons say it lets you get on with everyday things and I don't think anything would happen when you're on the rides otherwise not many people would use them ^_^" and as for the inserting and taking out, it's bound to feel a bit strange at first but you'll probably get used to it.... sorry if I wasn't much help >_<

Ah the good ole tampon question.
Well, first of all, make sure you insert it right and, while feeling really strange at first, you shouldn't feel it in you at all after you insert it. As for taking it out, it doesn't hurt--you just need to make sure you're relaxed and that your muscles aren't tense both when you insert the tampon and when you take it out.

As for the theme park question, the first time I ever went to an amusement park I had to wear a tampon! Nothing dastardly happened (even though I expected it, I'm just as period paranoid as you probably are)--you just have to make sure you change it a lot (which can be a bit of a nuisance) but make sure you change it before every four hours--I know the box says change it every four hours but you can still leak a little bit and by changing your tampon maybe every two hours can help with that.

Tampons can feel really strange at first but you don't feel like you're wearing a diaper and you really can carry on with routine events without the feeling of paranoia

Hope that helped and hope you have fun!

well if you do get your period that day it might be harder to deal with... it depends how heavy your flow is and such. but really, tampons are amazing... but awkward at first but once you get the hang of it you will seriously hate using pads. haha. just try to change it as often as possible.. .like zorya said, every four hours is probably reasonable!

haha nice question =]
if it still works for the rides, you can wear a tampon and then a light pad underneath to make sure there are no leaks!

ya... i dont use tampons - my friend gave me one to try when we all were gonna go swimming but i tried.. and *embarassing momment* couldnt do it haha and then she almost told all the guys when they asked why i wasnt going swimming too!!! but ya
good luck with the theme park!!!
