I know i don't really understand either. Cuz i mean, it's not real so it's not scary to me. There were a few parts toward the last half of the movie that surprised me, but it wasn't -scary-.

i think it's actually scarier if you are religious.. does that make sense? not like just one religion in particular... but like if you generally believe in God & the devil or some form of that [good vs. evil] then i think you're more likely to get scared by the kinda stuff you see in the movie.

i actually thought it was really predictable. i need to watch the alternate endings and see if they're any better.

i'm religious and i wasn't affected by it.
maybe i just have such a problem with this movie because i live in a house where i've experienced paranormal things so i know how it really is? idk.

Well I do believe in ghosts and I do believe in things like bad spirits that can possess you and things of that nature. I am not a specifically religious person, but I still believe that that kind of thing is real whether you call it the devil/god or not. Buuut the actual movie didn't scare me because it was fake footage ^^;
it just a surprising parts though for sure..
Last movie I watched:
The Fourth Kind
(which also had fake footage... they make you think it's actual footage and audio but it's not -.- soo lame. Even more lame because I believe in abductions and aliens so it kind of excited me like yaaa and then i looked it up and was like boooo fakers
)

Re: Last movie you watched?

I still need to see that! I read the book quite a while ago and mum borrowed the film from her friend and we STILL haven't watched it. x_x I'm scared to! Is there any uber gory bits or any bits that make you jump?
I watched Pans Labyrinth. One of my favourites.

um, yeah i think so. i mean theres tons of people all over the world who go missing without explanation and those who believe they've been abducted so I suppose so. but it still disappointed me that they make people think its real when its not ^^; cause honestly i wouldn't have gone to see it if i had known beforehand that they were fake. its what made the movie intriguing but ah well i enjoyed it while watching it so i guess it doesnt matter
i wanna watch men who stare at goats it looks good >w<

Hehe, I need to read teh book! And hmm, if you don't like blood, then it's a bad idea xD There's a scene where tons of it comes crashing down the hall o.o And um...some axe swinging and stuff...it's not SUPER gory but maybe a little bit xD And not so much jumpy but...creepy x.x Definitely worth a watch though! Jack Nicholson (sp?) is awesome! <3

the shining is a classic!
i know my mum doesn't like to watch it because it creeps her out, but if you've read the book, i don't think you'd have too much of a problem with it.
