Ughh.. that movie made no sense. Was that really the stepmother at the end and if it was, why did she leave suyeon under the closet?

I want to buy the movie but my mom says I have to wait til it goes on sale. Suncoast sells it for almsot $30. It sounds awesome! Me and my mom love scary movies.
Check out the Infection...great movie but confusing at the end. And made by the same people who did The Ring, Grudge, Dark Water...etc. I think most asian horror movies are like that. Well, at least the ones I saw.

lol my reply is like a month later but... this is my take on it.
i saw this movie a few months ago so i don't exactly remember the details.
it is unclear if the father remarried at all, so technically the "stepmother" isn't really the stepmother at all, but a friend of the family. i believe she had some kind of relation with the father and was jealous of the fact that he married another woman. the older sister has a strong dislike towards her and if you remember, she is very snobby towards her. the "stepmother" goes to wake up su-mi (older sister) and she replies with some insults. i think the "stepmother" asks su-mi to do something but she refuses, and the "stepmother" says something along the lines that if she doesn't do it, she will regret it.
so when the "stepmother" finds su-yeon underneath the closet, she doesn't do anything about it because she is angered with the way she is being treated by su-mi and the jealousy towards the real wife only stimulates her anger.
i don't know if you realize, but the stepmother is never actually proved to be the real stepmother because the whole stepmother-kills-little-sister thing was actually a hallucination that su-mi was having. she hallucinated that she was also the stepmother and su-yeon was just imagined (when in real life, she is actually dead). that's why they all have their period on the same day (because they're the same person) and when the father is giving the stepmother pills, in reality he is actually giving them to su-mi to help her psychological state.
i thought this movie was really confusing as well, i definitely do not think it was a very good movie and rather a disappointment. .___.;;
