Laura, I don't think it's appropriate to say Asians aren't heavy. Obviously, every Asian have different body make-ups.. some are bigger than others.
I'm addressing this because we received a personal message from Beautyisinmyeyes. Firstly, opinions of contributers and moderators in AsiaJam do not necessarily reflect the views of AsiaJam. We agree with the author that Asians come in various sizes. We should not over generalize and push aside curvier girls who want to wear Asian-styled fashion.
However, the harsh reality is this:
The reason why most Asians teenager/young adult manufacturers make ONE-SIZE clothing (that usually fit a petite frame) is because the majority of Asian teenagers/young adults are petite. This is not to say ALL of them are petite.. I know people in Malaysia who complain they are forced to shop at bigger brand stores (Forever 21 etc) because they manufacture clothing with different sizes.
As stated in AsiaJam's FAQ, we do not carry larger sizes not because we don't want to. We don't carry them because our manufacturers don't make them. When AsiaJam grows into a larger company and manufacture our own products, we would definitely consider making them in sizes.
I hope this clears things up and to Beautyisinmyeyes, on behalf of all AsiaJam moderators, I apologize if we have offended you.
To everyone else, any suggestion on how curvier girls can get their hands on larger sized Asian style apparel is welcome!
Beautyisinmyeyes, many AsiaJam items are not body-hugging. You could try wearing baggier styled clothing like these:

I'm happy to announce that in the next few days, AsiaJam will be selling more loose-style clothing perfect for the chilly weather
