Default GIFT CERTIFICATES.

I don't know about you, but I could easily spend $2930238238982372 on this site... So maybe you could offer gift certificates? That's probably all I would ask for for my birthday or Christmas. XD

Actually a lot of websites (stores that are exclusively online) have gift certificates. I don't think its such a bad idea. It'll probably draw in those who don't have credit cards yet.

And for everyone else, who'd say no to a asiajam giftcard? Certainly not me!

It's a great idea, especially for me xD I get lots of cash for my birthday and such, but my parents don't really like the idea of shopping online >_> So I can't do anything with my money online since they won't let me use their cc <_< Having a gift certificate would help me a lot xP

I dont' get it... how does the gift card or certificate work? If you parents won't let you spend money online, how would they pay for the gift certificate? Don't they have to pay asiajam at one point or another?

can someone explain further... thanks,

A parent or someone could purchase a card or certificate that is worth a given amount of money. (ie: $25, $50, $75) Then the person who recieves it could shop online and when they are going to pay they would select "gift card" as payment and type in the code on the card. The final total would then be deduted from the card. (kind of working like a non-refillable debit card)

Hope this answers your question!

Heh. I guess I can see where you are coming from. However I know many sites that are strictly set up online and have gift cards. To each is there own? I'm sure there would be plenty of people who would be willing to buy them if they did not know an exact item to buy someone but knew they liked the site. ;P *shrugs*

either way someone *would* have to use a credit card, however a parent purchasing one for their child (for example) would allow them to set a limit on how much that person could spend!

That would be awesome, but pointless for me, since I just use my bank card...but it would be good for people who don't have one.

I've never really seen the point in giftcards. . . It's just much more convenient to give someone money, so they can buy whatever they want with it&not be limited to one place. :/ I know receiving a giftcard is a bit more intimate of a gift, but money is still the ultimate gift.

I think it would be an awesome idea! Much better than specifying everything you want as a gift, that just seems lame.

i guess gift cards are kind of weird... since its just money restricted to one place...
but i think it would be good for someone like me who is really bad with money and will just impulsively spend it on any piece of junk.

I love this idea! =]

Or people can send you money to your paypal and you can convert it into asia jam money and everytime you buy, you get 10p back or something - and save up points. Like a club card! XD

I think this is a great idea. I was talking to one of my friends who was wondering what I wanted for my bday (since it's coming up!) and I pointed them to Asia Jam. They really wanted to just give me a gift card, which would have been really great.

What about the cost of shipping though? That would become a problem with the giftcard payment though...
