Help me decide what to wear!
I'm meeting up with some old friends of mines next weekend, ones in which I havent seen for almost a year and I'd like to make a good impression. I'm clueless on what kind of style to wear. Which do you think is more suitable/pretty?
  OR
I can't decide if "classy" clothes just make me look slimmer....or maybe it's lolita that's making me look wide? o_0

me too! i think the 2nd outfit is very adorable and is more wearable especially if its just a catch up session with friends. the first one is more dressy and it may make you feel quite self-conscious especially if ur friends are just wearing casual gear/jeans. the 50's outfit is cute, girly and smart at the same time ^^

Normally I'm all for your lolita outfits, but: The 50s one just looks way cuter this time around. *^^* It really does appear more 'slimming', too! Not to say your loli outfits make you look 'fat' though ... I'm envious of you, because you're at like, a perfect weight, and manage to look nice in all outfits. ^^;
But yep, that's my opinion!
EDIT: OMG 700th POST! O___O;;;

I adore the 50's one. Where is the dress from? It's so pretty.

Actually, my old friends adore kawaii fashions, and that includes lolita. You're right about the more casual wear though, I might be a little out of place. ^.^

We have the same BMI (20)! It's not about having the "perfect weight." It's about finding clothes that are works with my body, not against it! *That's my secret anyway*
My chunky thighs and tummy are discretely hidden in all my clothes XD

I personally don't believe it matters. Just express yourself the way you want to. Maybe they'll see a new side of you.

Wow, a lot of people liked the second one. Strange how my indecisions can appear so clear to others!
Thanks for voting again guys! I'll be going with numbero two.

I can't find clothes that work well with my body. I have broad shoulders and wide hips :/ But I really love all of your outfits, I just liked the 50s look more for some reason. And I can't believe you got that dress for $20! I wish I could find steals like that :/ All the dresses around here like that are around $50--and that's on sale!

Il ike the middle one, sorry, if I am late. xD. I think the first one is too cute, butwith that jacket it makes you look a little wide. And I think the last one is pretty, but, I wouldn't try to look to dressed up.

I love all three choices^^ and you've already chosen to wear #2..(good choice! Looks so sweet^^)...
I really like the dress in the first pic too..it's really cute. Is that a coat you're wearing or top? Is it a dress or a skirt?
A good tip for people with wider hips and a tiny waist (like me...!! I suffer from this too =/ haha), if you wear full skirts like the cute sailboat one you're wearing in the first pic, make sure your top is more fitted- it helps balance you out so you don't look wide!
If that's a seperate skirt and top, I say wear the skirt with a cute sailor-inspired top that's more fitted like a t-shirt. (like what I've attached...the shirt $25 on yesstyle...I love the little hood on the back^^ but I don't think the skull thing is something that would match your skirt....so the pic is just for an example to show what I'm talking about...)
hope that helps some!
